Elevating Syndication through B2B Content Networks
Online syndication allows publishers to extend reach and increase
revenues, all the while leveraging their existing content development
efforts. Yet for syndication to be successful, the processes involved
in syndicating content to partners, setting up subscriptions and
adding new subscribers must be fairly easy and automatic. The
answer lies in technologies that power Business-to-Business (B2B)
Content Networks, which are emerging as the solution for ensuring
successful and economical online syndication. This paper was written
for our client CAP Ventures.
e-Publishing Systems: Build or Buy?
Every company’s second line of business is publishing.
This is true for both small organizations and large. Over
time, every organization develops, adopts, and evolves technology
and processes for content management and publishing. Often,
these are "home grown" and change as the company does.
Yet there are many commercial offerings out there for content
management and electronic publishing. When are you still
productive with your ad hoc systems and processes, and when do
you need to look at commercial solutions? This white paper
provides some background on the topic, and some points for consideration.
